During this short time we would like to visit the Kootenai falls and The Palouse but only one of the area wildlife refuges. So, should it be Kootenai or Turnbull? I have to say this was my first visit to this area to purchase land because we will be moving out there. I took a two hour drive up a road named Katka into the state forest and saw all kinds of birds, deer, even a bear. The ride up is beautiful and I found a few rushing rivers that I stopped at and enjoyed some refreshing water. Not being an expert in that area, I had the most nature encounters on this ride. I was up in the forest for four hours. Amazing.
