An LSU student has been arrested after allegedly making an online threat to kill Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who advocated for bringing a live tiger onto the field as part of a recent college football game.

LSU previously ended the tradition of bringing a live tiger to the sidelines of games in 2016, when Mike VI died.

No. 15 LSU controversially unveiled a live caged tiger in its stadium for the first time in almost a decade before they were routed 42-13 by No. 11 Alabama in their SEC showdown.

No state or LSU funds were used to bring a live tiger to LSU's recent game against Alabama, per Gov. Jeff Landry’s office. The tiger, Omar Bradley, was provided by a Florida owner with past federal citations for animal handling,
